Weed, California, April 25, 2007: You got to provide your body with fuel.
Not just any old stuff. Not low-grade fuel. You want the good fuel.
If you choose to drive an old junker, sure, maybe you give it any old gas. But winners at the Indy 500 don’t put any old gas in their racecars. Because to get the best from the racecar, after tuning it up, they give it the very best fuel.
We’re not trying to become racecars. But here’s an “Obnosis.”
Main Entry: ob·no·sis
Pronunciation: “awb-‘nO-s&s
Function: noun
Etymology: New Latin, from Greek AbboGnosis, from aggaraOskein to distinguish, from obbo- + gignOskein to know what is known
1 the art or act of observing that which is readily and obviously true
2 observing the obvious
The obnosis (observing the obvious) is that if we fuel our bodies with the best fuel, we will have more energy, and less diseases. And yet, most of the time, most of us do not actually spend any energy attempting to fuel our bodies with the best fuel.
Why is that?
It is because “what is true” is not obvious!
The subject of “what should we eat?” is a mystery which lives somewhere in a cloud, and reports of this fabled truth all contradict each other. We should eat protein. We should eat curds and whey! We should eat only raw foods. We should eat only certain foods according to our blood type because our ancestors were hunters, or maybe because they weren’t hunters. We should eat only lettuce and radishes.
What’s True?
And also, what do we want to accomplish? Do we want to go to the gym and pump iron and so we should eat liver and eggs to build big muscles? Do we want to avoid all grains because we get allergic symptoms? Do we want to eat pasta and veal parmegiana because we wish we were Italian?
Do we want to eat the best food for looking thin and pretty?
Do we want to eat the best food for never getting ill?
What do we want to accomplish? And then, what should we eat to accomplish that?
Is there a “Better Way” to Eat?
Yes, there is.
For decades, the most extensive research ever done on this planet has shown us clearly and dramatically that there is a simple (and economical) way to eat which will —
* Eliminate nearly all of the disease which kills most people in the Western world.
* Provides high energy.
* Tastes good and easy to prepare.
* Requires no exotic ingredients.
* Has no strange, fad chemistry.
* Will extend your life.
The evidence is extremely clear. The studies are the largest ever done on this planet. There is absolutely no contradicting evidence.
Avoid Becoming Dead
We figure that eating to avoid being dead is probably the smartest way to eat, and this particular way of eating does in fact keep people from becoming dead from heart disease, stroke, cancer, or from immune disorders including diabetes. Since nearly everyone in the western world dies from these four, it’s probably a real good idea to eat like the folks who almost never die from these four things.
And, if this way of eating provides nutritious, tasty, and economical meals, and give you higher energy (and for most people, lower body weights), then it seems to do what most of us would like to do.
But I’ve Never Heard of It
So why haven’t we heard about it? This wonderful way of eating so scientifically proven to save us from early death and give us good energy?
The food industry is a 17 Billion industry in the USA alone. It’s got an advertising budget.
The facts in this study have had no advertising budget. In fact, some of the information has perhaps been supressed in conferences to set our Government’s dietary recommendations.
But just because everybody else is low-energy, allergy prone, and dying … doesn’t mean you have to join them.
The Vegistentialist Answer
In a recent book called “The China Study,” author T. C. Campbell, Ph.D describes the largest study ever undertaken on this planet. It was set up by senior researchers from Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Academy of Medical Sciences in China’s Ministry of Health.
After measuring food intakes, environmental toxins, taking blood and urine samples on a huge group of people, they found over 8000 correlations between diet and disease. But the most interesting of these weren’t the usual “ten percent greater disease if you eat lard.”
The most interesting of these were closer to 100% correlations. If you eat this one particular thing, then odds are close to 100% that you’ll get the disease. If you eat almost none of this one particular thing, then odds are close to 100% that you’ll remain disease-free.
Similar experiments were run on mice, testing the dietary factors. The experimenters learned that they could turn cancer off and on in the mice as they switched the mice to the “good” diet or to the “bad” diet.
You can get this book on Amazon or in most book stores. The science is impeccable. This is not some fad, or some guy’s theory. This is as hard as science can get.
Use the Best Fuel
Want to be free of heart disease, stroke, cancer, and immune disorders including diabetes?
If you can avoid these four, then you’ll avoid what mostly kills people in the western world. And that means you can live longer. And while you’re living longer, you’ll feel better, have more energy, and probably you’ll be better looking, too.
Without giving away the plot, it has to do with animal proteins and vegetables.
“Eat your vegetables,” your grandmother said. Her grandmother said it too. And you know what? They had less heart disease back then.
The Vegistentialist
To learn the essential truth about humans and vegetables, visit my articles here in the category “how to tune a human,” where I describe more about this.
You could become a Vegistentialist.
It’s different than what most people do. But then, most people die, and it isn’t pretty. You don’t have to be one of them. You can have a better life.
Give your body the right fuel. Feel better. Live longer.
Good plan.
