Puppy, leaping, falls,

tumbling over and over.

Old dog sees and smiles.

 

Lurking near the creek

green vine creeping down to drink …

just can’t get enough!

 

Daisy dog sounds alarm:

Some guy walking, who is he?

Dangerous! Kill him!

 

Cool blue darkening

at the warm day’s sweet ending,

fireflies wheel and spin.

 

Early in warm bed,

a chaos of dogs barks and barks.

Loud! We are lucky!

 

Window shows gray sky,

afternoon siesta time.

Warm as toast inside.

 

Bed still warm from your closeness,

dogs awash on the floor,

the morning light!

 

Dogs breath billowing

harking and barking, chase the

birds. Wow! Quick! Run! Fly!
